Elliot. Would you be able to introduce yourself and talk a little bit about Green Home People?
Yeah, sure. My name is Elliot Jones. I'm a director at Green Home People. We're a renewable energy specialist. essentially focusing on solar PV and battery storage solutions.
Brilliant. Do you offer like wind or anything like that as well or is it mainly solar? And
it's it's almost exclusively solar. We have looked at wind generation and we've had to basically put a curb on it because the one or two times that we've actually specified it. The details have found that it's just not as there's just too much maintenance involved.
unless you're looking at very large
Wind turbines, the smaller ones just seem to be
there's too much risk essentially.
I've heard that with other installers as well. It's just too much sort of logistical hassle to to go through it.
Yeah. I mean the principle is exactly the same. It's just the fact that there's too many moving parts.
Brilliant. And obviously we we managed to get a deal recently close over the line with TNW. Would you like to talk a little bit about that? Obviously not disclosing any specific details about the client or anything like that.
Yeah, of course. So it was quite a quick turnaround. I think we got the lead through. Went and sat the appointment. It was very much qualified. The customer was expecting us.
He was very happy to talk. He was very open and candid about what he wanted. He had been briefed very well on why we were there and what we were going to offer and suggest to them. We went with a an outline proposal and a and an initial design. And within I suppose 48 hours probably of having a bit of twoing and throwing and revisions to the the design and the proposal we got the confirmation that they wanted to go ahead with us. And as is the case with people because once they've made the decision they want to move it as fast and as quickly as possible.
yeah that's that's the thing with these smaller commercials. We we often see people, you know, wanting to go for those 200, 300, 400 kilowatt systems, but often times they're they're the ones with the really long sales cycle and, you know, the really long DNO applications and all that sort of stuff. So you know, with these smaller installs that you can charge a bit more for bit more for, add a bit of margin to they're the ones that you know, you can turn around really quickly.
Yeah, absolutely. And this I mean it's a perfect case and point for that.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And what what was the sort of size size of the install and the the value to you guys?
The size of the install was around I think about 30 to 35 kilowatts and the the value to us was sort of similarly we work at around about 1,000ish pounds per kilowatt as a very rough guideline. So there thereabouts. So, it's it's a good profitable project for us.
Yeah. Brilliant. Well, I appreciate that, Elliot, and I'll speak to you in a bit. Okay.

Who Green Home People are
Green Home People is a renewable energy specialist focused almost entirely on solar PV and battery storage. Elliot Jones is one of its directors. The business has looked at small wind turbines but found they carry too much maintenance and risk.
The situation
Larger commercial systems of 200 to 400kW often come with long sales cycles and long DNO applications. Smaller commercial jobs can be turned around quickly and carry a healthy margin.
What TNW delivered
TNW passed Green Home People a qualified 30 to 35kW commercial lead. The customer was expecting the team, had been well briefed on why they were coming and what they would suggest, and was open about what he wanted. Green Home People took an outline proposal and initial design to the meeting.
After some back and forth on the design and proposal, the customer confirmed within about 48 hours that he wanted to go ahead. Elliot says the business works to roughly £1,000 per kW as a rough guide, which made it a good, profitable project.
The model behind it is the same for every installer: TNW finds and qualifies the business, books the meeting into your diary and you pay per qualified, attended appointment, not per raw enquiry or a monthly retainer. Read how pay per appointment commercial solar leads work, or see the checks behind each booking in how to qualify commercial solar leads.
