you want to introduce yourself explain a little bit about ACG yeah so hi my name is Chris Shaw I'm a co-director of a Renewables company called ACG Renewables we were we sort of a reasonably new company sort of two years old but we're assisted company of an electrical company so that's a little bit about ACG primarily we're spe specializing in commercial commercial properties okay nice and how long have you sort of been working with us so far I've been working with you it's just over just over a month now isn't it guys so and gotta say yeah so
far so good and what would you say sort of sparked your interest in kind of what we do I think the the one interest from you guys that made me more interested in other ones it's that you it's not like an upfront cost regardless of the lead they've got to be a qualified lead for us to benit and it it was a major major influencing decision was that We've looked at several well more than several lead gen companies in the past and yeah they don't interest me you know I want I want to be working with whichever lead gen company to help generate
business not just get hundreds of leads that aren't qualified 100% definitely yeah I think the other good thing with you guys is that how you qualify the leads as well you know there's a lot of work that goes on in the background before this we sort of get a sniff of them for once of about a word so that's also good that's also really good and based on the sort of meetings you've had so far what's the sort of like feedback from the yeah again I've got to said the quality of the leas so far have been seeing this genuinely very good
yeah definitely everybody has got a genuine interest in wanting to sort of look and develop at solo which is which is all we want you know everybody's looking into it but it's those people that are really looking to do it sort of now so yeah from from that point of view and I've got to say again considering we've only been with you a month the quality and the number of leads I can't I've got no complaints whatsoever it's been great yeah I think we might to get you the NHS which is quite a big one the NHS has been a good one and
There's another one that he gave us which was multiple sites which is also very good yeah yeah and in comparison to other lead gen agencies that you might have used in the past have you like what would you sort of compare Us in comparison to you know other other offerings you might have been P I've worked with a in a previous business with a lead generation company which is what really put me off going forward lead generation I think we've we've been oming and aring about this for it's got to beit two years ever since we formed the company I have always been
the one that's been doing the kickback saying no I've done this before it's a waste of time it's a waste of money you guys did your pitch and I got to say yeah you've been true to your word words so I've got no complaints and that's that's a genuine comment guys yeah I think something interesting about when I was speaking to you initially was sort of not only just bringing you the opportunities but also the amount of time that you're sort of saving having to sift through onetoone emails Ono one prospec and all that sort of stuff just basically getting you
in front of the customer without any it's absolutely yeah I mean before I had got very little time for actually sitting behind computers emailing and speaking to people it was sort of you know out on the roads seeing s sites and things like that but it it's making it a really nice balance now as you guys know it's me that predominantly does the sales within the business who knows is this developed you know we might look on taking another guy I go back to the point that you've been to your word that they've been genuine leads so that that's that's a real
Plus for me yeah I I think our main focus is like you said previously not overloading you of like here's 100 leads yeah trying to get you leads it's it's it's the quality leads that's important to any company yeah and what with you the pre-qualification that you guys do it you know I'm confident now that lead you passing me are going to be genuine which is which is again more reassurance for me it's like I know when you send us a lead that you know it's worthwhile spending time on you know again with going on the previous example with the previous lead gen company you used
to they used to send out cold emails yet their interested you used to speak to them and it's like the interest wasn't there whereas everybody yours the interest has been there so that's been good for us yeah sure appreciate that what would you say the looking at the leads we brought in what would you say the average sort of deal size is in terms of like cost as well they they're really good the interesting thing for us is the average one's going to be I don't know sort of did the range in the minute when I've been doing the quarts anything between 50,000
to the one with multiple sites will potentially be a couple of hundred thousand so again the the size of the leads that you're passing through is great it's the larger projects and that that's also good because you know that's what we're focusing on for sure okay and sort of one final question to other companies that might be looking to get in front of more of their target market would you sort of recommend us as a partner for those companies yeah yeah I can I can say this like you know and we're being recording but it's a genuine comment you you did the
pitch on yeah we've got your leads we'll get your qualified leads and all that but you guys have been true to your word yeah it's not like I've had experience with other companies where that hasn't happened they've all been quality leads that you sent through and yeah I look forward to continuing working with you hopefully long into the future for sure really appreciate your time Chris thank you no no problem no problem

Who ACG Renewables are
ACG Renewables was about two years old at the time of the interview and is a sister company of an electrical contractor. It specialises in commercial properties, and Chris Shaw, its co-director, handles most of the sales himself.
The situation
A lead generation company at a previous business had put Chris off. It sent cold emails, and when he spoke to the people it found, the interest was not there. Since forming ACG, he had argued against using one for about two years.
What TNW delivered
What changed his mind was that there is no up-front cost: a lead has to be qualified before ACG pays. In the first month the leads were genuine businesses looking to do solar now, including an NHS meeting and a multi-site opportunity, with quotes ranging from about £50,000 to a potential couple of hundred thousand for the multi-site job.
Because TNW pre-qualifies, Chris spends less time at a computer emailing prospects and more time on the road seeing sites. He says TNW has been true to its word.
The model behind it is the same for every installer: TNW finds and qualifies the business, books the meeting into your diary and you pay per qualified, attended appointment, not per raw enquiry or a monthly retainer. Read how pay per appointment commercial solar leads work, or see the checks behind each booking in how to qualify commercial solar leads.
