right so Dan want sort of introduce yourself a little bit about the business that you work with and your business just explain how we sure so yeah just firing from the hip a little bit so the business I have with Robert is is called Simplicity Solar the trading style is Zero Grid I come from a a residential solar sales background installed in excess of 7,000 rooftops across the UK but between myself and Rob over the last seven years in the last 18 months we've gone into the commercial sector Rob's been doing commercial for well for for at
least five years and and I've been doing it for 18 months and in the last 18 months we've won just over four megawatts of rooftop installations here in the UK and that's made up of usually jobs anywhere from sort of 50 to 150 kilowatts there thereabouts the largest one we've installed today is a 900 kilowatt installation in in Sheffield in South Yorkshire for a defense contractor obviously the lead we're getting from you guys at TNW we're getting some really really good feedback you know we were a bit wary at first you know a bit cautious any you know
when you're pting where you hard earned cash but I think today in the last sort of two weeks we've had six to eight leads from you guys and so far of those we've got at least four that we think will proceed to an installation at some point within the next six months the largest so far is looking around 1.5 megaw so in terms of sort of pounds and pens without me pulling up the quote something along the lines of 1.2 million pound we've got another job which is just in design now with a major printing company
Which you guys the name of that obviously as well and that's going to be around one to two megawatts with' staged installations over the next 18 months looking for a first installation before Christmas 2024 yeah so far you know I can for the leads down you and Roman have done a good job get some good feedback from the clients on yourselves in particular as well you know not too pushy I think you've got a good rapport with the clients prior it feels like the client's already warm it's not they don't no one's ever to the phone and
going oh I wasn't expecting the call or no I'm not really interested all the we all the leads I can say are warm leads they're good you know the good the good hot leads so yeah appreciate that and in to sort other Le you worked with where would you say you S rank yeah I mean for commercial definitely without a doubt We've not we've not worked with a better partner previously I've worked with [another lead provider] using AI leads and the quality of those have just been extremely poor and they wanted a significant amount of money up front
previously that's why we were you know once bit and twice shy and all that we were cautious about jumping on board with you guys but you know we've rode the dice again and and I'm pleased to see we have but yeah we I would say that the leads from you guys have even worked better than our own organic Google leads and that's you know that might be because we don't have the experience in in the marketing that you guys have so it's s of taking that strain away from those as well yeah it's nice to partner with someone like you
who is very confident in the sales side of things because it makes our life a lot easier when we're conversing with the lead and we can sort of get them to the point where you're already design phase pretty quickly chat it's good so I'm going to have a call with Robert over weekend as well just see where we go from here we'll definitely be taking some more leads we'll definitely we're pushing on but you know we've got that much work with these leads U what we're getting on as well so we really are working we have in-house designers that are do full 3D designs
financial analysis when we're dealing with the you know these clients are 4 500 companies 4100 companies so you know we're having to put together a real package for these guys the strings out the bag yeah and one last question mate would you recommend us to any other companies who looking to get a consistent flow of like commercial work yeah of course without a doubt there would be no doubt in my mind for that at all you know you guys are extremely responsive you know it's not a question of make the order pay deposit and then don't hear from you guys for two
or three weeks while you building it up I think you know we've started getting leads in within sort of within within a fortnite really good qualifi good strong qualified leads so app appreciate your time and see mate no problem done speak soon mate cheers

Who Simplicity Solar are
Simplicity Solar, trading as Zero Grid, is run by Dan and his business partner Rob. Between them they have installed more than 7,000 residential rooftops across the UK. In the 18 months before the interview they had won just over 4MW of commercial rooftop work, usually 50 to 150kW jobs, and their largest installation was 900kW for a defence contractor in Sheffield.
The situation
A previous provider of AI-generated leads had wanted a significant amount up front and the lead quality had been very poor, so Simplicity was cautious about trying another.
What TNW delivered
In the first two weeks TNW delivered six to eight leads, and at least four were expected to proceed to installation within six months. The largest was around 1.5MW, roughly £1.2 million, and another, with a major printing company, was being designed at 1 to 2MW in stages.
Dan says every lead has been warm: nobody has picked up the phone surprised by the call, and clients spoke well of TNW's approach. He rates TNW as the best commercial partner the business has worked with, says the leads have performed even better than its own organic Google leads, and notes that leads started arriving within a fortnight rather than weeks after paying a deposit.
The model behind it is the same for every installer: TNW finds and qualifies the business, books the meeting into your diary and you pay per qualified, attended appointment, not per raw enquiry or a monthly retainer. Read how pay per appointment commercial solar leads work, or see the checks behind each booking in how to qualify commercial solar leads.
